This workshop is for those that would like assistance in learning about and setting up their first Bitcoin wallet. Topics covered include:
- Downloading & initial setup
- Backing up your private keys
- Sending and receiving your first transactions
- Understanding Bitcoin's units of account, divisibility, and relationship to the dollar
- Understanding and knowing what to look for on different wallets/platforms
- Avoiding bad wallets/platforms/scams
Be sure to bring a smartphone (iPhone or Android are fine), as well as something to take notes with.
The event is at Infusion Coworking space and someone will be waiting to let you in at the 10th Avenue entrance prior to our start time of 6pm. If you are late or lost, please called (403) 462-1163.
